Don't mess with a man and his "Jolly Ball" - Nick

   Emily - Dumped at a shelter at 9 years old by a family who said she had become "Too old". She was adopted and lived another very happy and fullfilled 2 1/2 years.

  "And there were shepherds in the field...."

  Shasta - Given up by her family to a shelter at 9 years because of a skin condition and ear infection, is still living in the lap of luxury with her new adopted family 2 years later.

  Baron - given up to a shelter at 10 years old by a man whose wife was in poor health and he could no longer properly care for him. Baron was quite the comedian and graced Carol's home for another wonderful and laughter filled 2 years.

Dutch - Seized from his previous owner for neglect by animal control, Dutch spent 4 months in a shelter while his previous owner tried to get him back, but refused to pay for or take care of his medical needs. Dutch, previously chained out in a yard 24/7, now has 27 acres to explore and loves his new owner and his freedom.
